MRA Leadership consists of industry experts and business leaders passionate about growing the residential roofing market as well as providing support for metal roofing businesses and contractors.

Todd Miller

MRA President & Chairman

Todd currently serves as President of the Metal Roofing Alliance and has spent the length of his career in residential metal roofing. As President of Isaiah Industries, Inc., he works with homeowners and contractors across the globe, helping them understand the powerful benefits of smarter roofing decisions.

In addition to the Metal Roofing Alliance, Miller has served on the boards of the Metal Construction Association, Cool Metal Roofing Coalition and numerous nonprofit and religious organizations in his community. He has a passion for coffee and for furthering the public’s knowledge on the benefits of metal roofing and ventilation.

Ken Gieseke

MRA Vice Chairman

Ken currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Metal Roofing Alliance and has spent the length of his career in residential metal roofing. Serving also as Senior Vice President for McElroy Metal, Ken has spent his entire working career around sales and marketing positions within the building materials industry.

Currently, Ken serves on the Board of Directors of the Metal Roofing Alliance. He also served as a board member of the National Frame Building Association from 2008 – 2019 and served as chairman from 2014 – 2016. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Southern Illinois University and a Master of Business Administration from Louisiana State University – Shreveport.

Brian Partyka

MRA Treasurer

Brian is a 23-year veteran of the metal construction industry and currently serves as the President of Drexel Metals. Brian also chairs and co-chairs multiple boards dedicated to the progression of the metal construction industry, including the Metal Roofing Alliance, the Metal Construction Association, National Roofing Contractors Association and more.

Brian recently received the “Metal Construction Association Industry Champion of the Year Triumph Award” a peer nominated award given to an individual that has had a significant overall impact on advancing the metal construction industry. Brian is an avid advocate of land preservation, and in his free time enjoys coaching soccer, playing guitar, golfing and spending time with his family and friends.

Renee Ramey

MRA Executive Director

Renee Ramey is the Executive Director of the Metal Roofing Alliance. In her role, Renee is responsible for the daily management of the MRA’s ongoing marketing programs aimed at increasing metal roofing’s residential market share.

Renee brings more than twenty years of marketing and management experience to the MRA. She has performed a variety of roles within the metals industry, from marketing and sales to HR and accounting to order and project management.

Renee is a LEED certified associate and is also active in numerous industry organizations.

Philippe LaPlante

MRA Secretary

Philippe Laplante graduated with honors from the University of Ottawa in business management with a minor in marketing. Philippe was practically born into the steel roofing industries, engaging in family discussions about metal roofing at a very young age, he then followed his father and uncle’s footsteps owners of Ideal Roofing. A family owned company started in 1929, currently the leader and biggest independent steel roofing manufacturer in Canada.

Philippe started out his role with Ideal Roofing as a helper in the manufacture plant learning all products and components of metal roofing, gradually working his way up to operator. Worked and gained knowledge in many multiple departments within the company from manufacturing and purchasing to finally moving into sales. His current role as Co-Owner and Vice-President of sales for the residential products. Philippe has taken a very active role in helping his staff educate customers, roofers and homeowners on why someone should invest in a metal roof. Philippe also participates in various metal roofing industry associations as a member of the Metal Roofing Alliance MRA, Canadian Sheet Steel Building Institute CSSBI, and Metal Service Center Institute MSCI.
