I've been reading the messages concerning adding insulation to homes with cathedral cielings. It makes sense to me that you keep an airspace between the insulation and the metal. In my situation my roof/cieling was framed with 2x12's that does have insulation and a ribbed vent channel nailed to the underside of the roof sheathing. If I add insulation to the outside of the roof and leave an airspace for venting should I continue to vent through the vent channel also, or should I seal up the openings on teh eaves?
