Is it ok to put metal roofing on top of Iko storm shield? It's is very abbrasive almost like gravel to me. I was told a barrier between the roofing and the ice shield might be something to use, I'm concerned that it will work the under side of my metal roof.

I do not suggest installing metal roofing directly on top of an aggregate surface of any sort. I would suggest a slip sheet or thin recovery board as separation.

Synthetic underlayment as a slip layer is perfect.
