Recently built a 25' by 40' stell shop. Currently installing a wood burning stove. How do I install 8" round chimey. Because of limitations on where the chimney exits the roof, I'm concerned about water leakage???

I had a metal roof installed and it has always leaked around the chimney. The original contractor wouldn't come back to fix. I have had a contractor twice come and paid them to fix the leak. It stills leaks. Can flashing be re-done around the chimney or is there something special that needs to be done to fix this leak? Thanks for any help.

I would think you would want to know what type of metal roof it is. If it is under some sort of weather tight warranty, and then proceed with good, better, best. I would warn the do-it-yourself home owners of the hazards associated with climbing a metal roof as well. When selecting a contractor make sure they are familiar with this and not the "caulk" guy..

This is how all penetrations should be flashed. This apply to copper, stainless, Zinc and also pre painted metal material including corrugated metal....
