I want to remove a satellite dish from my metal roof. What do I use to kept it from leaking after the dish removal? i want it to be a permanent repair job and I want to do it myself.

I would suggest a butyl rubber sealant. If it is a very large hole, then riveting in matching metal along with lots of sealant would be advised. If this is a metal shingle roofs you can cap over the damaged panel with a new panel.

+1 Depending on hole size, you can rivet and fill the hole as well. If a panel system, I would recommend replacement of that given panel. How is it that Todd always beats me to the punch????
