I Have a project we are about to start that has red iron open purlins. we will be reskinning the roof & building with 26 gauge PBR panels. we have self tapper wood zac screws is there any reason to predrill the holes in the panels? Thank you for your input

Always check with your panel manufacturer but my advice is to pre drill them.

The more you can control the process on the ground (level, square, plumb, etc) the better the finished product will look on the roof.
Pre-drilling takes more of the guess work out of the equation and allows for a more streamlined and finished product while on the roof. You will have enough to think about while up there.
