I purchased a home with a copper roof and planned to mount a PV system on it. My solar guy just came down and told me that the fastners are rusting and were not stainless or brass. My worry is that the clips and fastners user are also for a steel roof. If true, in another few years I won't have a sound roof that has a PV system mounted on it's standing seam. What do you suggest, install SS fastners through the copper deck and replace the coping fastners? or what?
