My question involves bending of the sheet steel for forming of roofing panels. I know the sheets are coated prior to being formed, does the bend radius recommended for forming the sheets keep the paint coating from cracking? Do you have any idea if you could see cracks in the paint coating after forming the sheets?

Mike,
Thanks for your question.
Yes, maintaining the appropriate bend radius ensures the paint can stretch around the bend, as well as ensuring the steel can bend without fracturing.
While it is certainly possible for cracks to be visible, in my experience, cracks are not visible. The paint appears uniform even around the bends.
