Will very small hail dings ever pop out of aluminum shake shingles? The dings range in size from BB (ammo for a BB gun) to pea. The dings are so small they are hard to see unless looking at them from certain angles. Is the aluminum shake shingle meant to be installed without insulation? The shingles are hollow with gaps between previous roof cover (I think original shingles that were on the house) and the bottoms of the aluminum shakes. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your post. Those minor indentations probably will not ever go away. However, they also are not jeopardizing the life of the roof any. They do not void the manufacturer's warranty either.
These products have foam inserts as an option. Some roofs have none, some roofs have inserts beneath all of the panels, and some have inserts only in traffic areas on the roof.
