Thanks for your question about metal roofing.
My recommendation is to replace the roof with new panels.
It appears that the protective layer on the roof panels have been compromised throughout the roof. Once the protective layer is compromised, it is a difficult task to remove the rust down to the bare steel, add new protective coating and then paint to provide a uniform color. If the rust is left in place, the corrosion will likely continue to advance.

I have galvanized steel corrugated roof panels that have some rust but are still solid. I have attached a pricture. I want to restore the roof. What is the best thing to do. Here is what I am thinking of:
1) Power wash
2) Put down some type of base. What product should I use and where can I purchase it from?
3) Put down some type of sealant. What product should I use and where can I purchase it?

What look you want at the end of the day? The patina look or solid color?
