metal vents on a v crimp roof

I had a home inspector say that the low profile vents installed on v crimp roof are not correct. They were replaced by a professional roofer and have closures under them where they sit on top of 'v' crimps. No leaks ever and not sure how else they could be installed. The vents holes in solid decking were existing so when new roof was installed the hole locations were kept and so locations of vent were not in the 'flat'.
