I have a metal roof that is 19 years old. The color has faded some with time, but not terribly. There are some spots where it looks like the original finish has "chipped" off. I do not see any signs of rust. Can I clean and paint this roof to return it to its original look and extend its life?

It probably can be repainted by licensing it, applying a primer, and then a top coat. Use a quality paint -- like something Sherwin Williams might suggest for this application. If you wish further input, please send me a photo showing the paint chips. todd@asktoddmiller.com
