I just has a roof installed by a local company and it just doesn't look good. I chose this company because of it's good reputation but I've had nothing but problems with them. The other day I get a call from them saying that they were finished and wanted to do a "final walk through" for payment. I was very surprised because their roofers left my place a mess and cleanup was part of the contract. When I told them about the mess, rather than come out and look, they asked for photos. The problem was, the amount of photos needed to convey the mess, couldn't be sent through email. SO I put them on my website (without a link to it anywhere). After reviewing their work topside, I was disappointed to say the least. I used to do some shingle roofing when I was in high school but no metal roofing so I have rudimentary understanding of what causes leaks. Anyway, I hope some of you expert can look at the job done and maybe pick out some issues that I've missed. Keep in mind, my mission with these photos IS NOT to cause this company problems, I just need to a set of expert eyes to look at these photos and give me an honest opinion(s). I will take down the photos and webpage once these issues are resolved but I feel I need to document them. I'm not naming the company here because I don't want them to come up in a search. While the name is on my website, I plan on taking it down later. Keep in mind, they claimed that they were done and everything was cleaned up. Any help would be appreciated..
Thanks..JTP

Well, they were supposed to come out today but canceled. They're supposed to come out Monday now. I plan on addressing these issues. They claim that they ARE done. I don't think they are anywhere near done. What would be your suggestion with the pipes and chimney flashing?

Thank you, I'll do just that. The company has a good rep. so maybe they'll come through. Maybe I just got one of their bad crews. I did come home and find them asleep in my yard..

I will not comment on the debris photos but as an observation of the flashing, pipe collar, and damage roof images, they do not appear to be done to me.
I would suggest that you have an open and honest discussion with the foreman/manager/owner and show them the images that you have. Hopefully this will open a dialogue that you can use to move these issues forward.

I would have the person in charge take a look and explain their work first. See what they are willing to do.
Depending on their response, I would engage a certifying roofing inspector to document the roof and issue a report on it should you need to proceed to the next step.
