I am trying to get a new insurance company for my homeowners and they want to know the age of my roof and it is a metal roof. I have been told by other contractors that it is in excellent shape and one of the best there is out there. Is there a way to have someone provide me with information on my roof that could be given to the insurance company. One contractor said more that likely the roof would out live us all.

Can you post a pic of the roof, two would be best. A close one showing some detail and one of the roof from 10 feet away.
We did tens thousands of stone coated steel jobs in Sac in the late 70's through the 90's with Cal Pac Roofing. A pic would confirm the material type, the age may be stmped on the back of one of the panels.

If you can track down the manufacturer or the original contractor, they should be able to help you. There could be a date on the panels as well, but they'd have to be removed to know.
