What are the professional opinions of screwing master rib panels to OSB with a proper vapor barrier? I've always screwed 1x4s to the rafters with proper vapor barriers then attached the panel's to the purlins.

Provided there are not concerns about inadequate ventilation in the attic, I do not see the need for battens.
