I have had a standing seam metal roof installed. The screws used to attach the continuous clip that holds the panels to the roof are not flush (by design). The installer has pushed the panels onto the roof to snap the panels together. In doing so many of these screws have have created dents in the metal panels. Is this normal? Shoud this be an acceptable installation? Are there any "standards" that address an acceptable amount of denting in the panels? Thanks in advance for the help... Michael

The manufacturer does not approve of the installation but because they do not want to upset the installer (who purchases product form them) they are not willing to write a letter on my behalf. What I need is a book for roofers that specifies that these panels should be installed free of dents. If you know of any such publication please let me know. Thanks ... Michael
