That is certainly one type of paint that can be used. There are air-dry PVDF paints available that will perform better but they are quite costly and not as easily obtained. I would suggest knowing exactly whose paint is being used, confirming it is approved by the manufacturer for this application, and knowing what warranty it carries. You will get greater fade resistance out of a lighter color.

I've got a 25 year old metal roof in Seattle that's fading. My understanding is that the manufacture is out of business. I received a quote that reads. Wash and prep areas to be painted. Paint using black acrylic enamel. My question, is that the proper paint?
