Hi I am replacing a plastic roof now 15 years old (corrugated type) I was going to add plywood and felt and then thought I would look at metal. as we are doing a simultaneous solar install my solar gu said I can get some federal credits from new roof. Can soalr mounts be put on all types of metal or just the flat kinds?

It is possible to mount solar panels on basically any metal roof. However, concealed fastened standing seam metal roofs can have the solar panels clamped to the seams, without any fasteners penetrating the roof system.

There are all types of mounts that will work with any number of systems. Some require panel modifications and other (as you noted) can clip onto the seams of raised seam roofs.
