Have you had any issues with condensation? One option would be to spray the underside of the roof with closed cell urethane foam insulation. This will provide good R Value and act as a vapor barrier to help discourage condensation.

What are the options for insulating a metal roof inside a shed that is being used as an office/art studio? We don't want to create a ceiling as we like the open "cathedral" type look. The shed has ridge vents and vented eaves. It is very hot in the summer and cold in the winter so we are looking to find a hopefully economical way to insulate. (Virginia area). Here is a photo. Many thanks. IMG_7773.jpeg

Thank you for your recommendation. To answer your question, we have had no issue that I can tell with condensation. Over the past 18 months, since we got the shed, maybe 1-2 times I noticed a drop or two of water on the floor but unclear of its origin. Other than that, everything seems to be working well with ventilation, no musty smell at all, etc.

(Last year we did insulate the walls with Rockwool, put Certainteed over that and then and put 1/4 plywood over the Rockwool/Certainteed.)

It is this type of shed:

14 x 28 LP Cape Cod Shed featuring coffee brown polyurethane on 50-Year LP Smart Side, dark brown trim, four 24” x 36” windows. Cape Dormer. Upgraded to metal roof. Double bubble floor insulation.
