
It will likely be impossible to track down the engineering of your fasteners, plus much has to do with the lumber they are attached to. I would instead take a very practical approach -- are the fasteners loose?
My existing metal roof survived two hurricanes, but a lot of panels are scratched and dented and I already have fasteners causing leaks in the attic. The insurance does not want to pay to replace all of the fasteners, just the panels that are damaged. I need to find something to show the insurance that the fasteners were not designed for a cat 4 hurricane, have now been compromised and warrant the replacement. Any suggestions?
