If your house has an eave fascia, you should be able to add gutters using fascia mount brackets. I would not try to fasten to the roof. If there is a drip edge on the roof, try to mount the gutters as high as possible, with the back wall of the gutters behind the drip edge. I recently bought a house on pier and beam with a metal roof. On one side of the house, the water drips too close to the side and water leaks under the home creating possible issues with the foundation long term. I am wanting to add gutters on that side and run them to a water collection system. It is 20 feet, a corner and then 12 feet of roof space. My questions are 1. Can I add gutters without damaging the existing roof? 2. If so, what kind and where to buy? Thanks for any advice.
