I'm looking for information on metal roofing assemblies with a Class A fire rating. I gather that metal roofs can achieve this, but only with the proper assembly, and I'm not sure where to look for more information. Thanks!
PS This would be for a residential roof made of zinc with a slope of probably 5:12 if that's helpful.

The best place to start would be with your local building department so you know what is required as a minimum as far as fire classification. Then contact the manufacturers of products you like to discuss what testing they have to support various assemblies for particular fire classifications.
