Install a chimney pipe

Hello,

I have a new metal roof. We have now decided we want to add a wood stove, and need to install chimney pipe. The issue is we had 2" foam board insulation over the existing roof with strapping, and then the metal roof installed over that. When going to install the boot over the chimney pipe, how do i support the boot underneath? Do i need to remove some insulation and use blocking?
