Hey,![20240608_172925.jpg](/media/spirit/images/7716/ccd5480324fce3538adb3a39dca73784.jpeg)
Hoping this community can help me out. I have a low slope metal roof tying into a gable end asphalt roof. Looks to me this is where my leak is coming from. Is there a better way to tie these two together? Or keep smashing the caulking to her?
Thanks!

The slope may be too low for the metal panel. Just to confirm -- that is the uphill end of the metal panels we're looking at?

Yes it's the uphill end.![20240608_173000.jpg](/media/spirit/images/7716/344841c6f6bf9a8bb823416f317f833b.jpeg)

Hi Todd,
Thanks for your help. Yes that's the uphill side. There's quite a good slope on the metal roof. The picture doesn't capture it well but that asphalt roof is quite steep. I've attached a close up photo of the area of concern. Are there different metal roof trim pieces that could be better applied in this situation?

Is that a wet / water mark on the wood creeping up out of that flashing that has screws going into the wood -- up under the gable for the asphalt roof?

No, is clear silicone that I had added just before taking the picture.

Thanks. Is there anything blocking water from driving up under the shed ridge cap on the metal panels?

Good question. I can't say for sure as I wasn't there when it was installed.

That is the biggest smoking gun I see. Has anyone done any water testing?
